Teens arrested in Inuvik drug bust

Both accused charged with with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking

Inuvik RCMP have arrested and charged two teens following an investigation relating to drugs being sold at the Nova Apartment building.

Police executed a search warrant on the suspected apartment on March 27.

"Three individuals were arrested. Approximately 12 grams of suspected crack-cocaine, $700 in cash, several cellphones and other paraphernalia were seized," the RCMP stated.

Darius Koffi-Sebio, 19, and Aymen Afadish, also 19, of British Columbia, have been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, according to the RCMP. Koffi-Sebio faces an added charge of obstructing a peace officer.

"Both have appeared before a justice of the peace and have been remanded into custody," the police stated. "The investigation remains ongoing."
