Tulita RCMP say they've intercepted this liquor, which was being brought into the community by a bootlegger.

Tulita RCMP say they've intercepted an illegal shipment of booze that was coming into the community by boat.

The Northwest Territories RCMP say police were responding to a tip from a resident.

"More great work by our officers in the North District," the police stated. "Last night, Tulita RCMP acted on a tip from the public which resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of liquor arriving in the community by boat.

There was no mention of any charges laid or who has been accused of the crime.

"We encourage anyone with information regarding bootlegging to contact your local detachment or CrimeStoppers."
