Savannah鈥檚 Family Restaurant will be shutting its doors in Yellowknife.

鈥淭his has taken some time 鈥� but the time has come and we need to let everyone know that (Savannah鈥檚 Family Restaurant鈥檚) last day of operation will be Dec. 3,鈥� Savannah鈥檚 stated in a Facebook post.

According to social media message, the Franklin Avenue business will be heading to Edmonton 鈥渋n the new year.鈥�

The restaurant鈥檚 ownership expressed gratitude for the opportunity that Yellowknife gave them.

鈥淭he bonds and relationships created from Yellowknife, it is tough to have to move but it is what will be best for our family鈥檚 future as we have family support there (in Edmonton),鈥� the message states.

Savannah鈥檚, which specializes in East African cuisine, doesn鈥檛 consider this an 鈥渙fficial鈥� goodbye though, as they hope to see Yellowknife residents visiting the Alberta city.

鈥淪o please come by and eat with us until Dec. 3,鈥� said Savannah鈥檚. 鈥淲e will miss each and everyone of you guys!鈥�
