In her 13 years living in the North, Jessica McVicker has developed a deep personal connection with many places in Yellowknife and beyond.
These places, in addition to 快盈v3 fauna and McVicker鈥檚 own dreams, will be on display in bright acrylic at her first art show in two years later this month.
Titled 鈥淯p North,鈥� the exhibit will mostly be a collection of 快盈v3 scenes that have inspired the B.C.-born artist, whether it be Yellowknife鈥檚 Old Town or a towering grizzly bear.
鈥淚f you鈥檙e a lover of the North, then it鈥檚 the place for you,鈥� she says. 鈥淚 think there鈥檚 a little bit of everything for people.
鈥淚鈥檝e wanted to have a show and wanted to have a show and haven鈥檛 been able to, so this is a pretty exciting moment for me,鈥� says McVicker. 鈥淎nd a lot of the pieces are my best work, I would say.鈥�
